Substantial Overhead Sun Relief for Resort Pools & Large Outdoor Functions

Transform sprawling, sun-baked outdoor grounds into cool, comfortable gathering sanctuaries during scorching Australian heatwaves. Specially suited to wide-open residential lawns, resort pool surrounds, and extensive outdoor event spaces, this massive 6x8m sand rectangular canopy delivers broad overhead sun filtering across 48 square metres without obstructing air movement.

Manufactured from dense 280g/m² commercial-grade 100% polyethylene mesh, the open-weave material filters up to 98% of damaging ultraviolet rays while promoting continuous airflow. Trapped solar heat vents upwards through the porous fabric, letting fresh cross-breezes circulate naturally to maintain cooler temperatures beneath during mid-summer gatherings.

Built to hold steady tension across an expansive 48m² surface area, the borders are constructed with 38mm webbed perimeter edging to prevent sagging and maintain clean lines. Each corner features an 8mm marine-grade stainless steel buckle for firm anchoring to heavy support posts, timber uprights, or structural walls. Additionally, the fabric is treated with an Americhem UV-resistant additive imported from the USA to protect polymer integrity from harsh sun exposure.

Please note: This 6x8m shade sail features a 2-piece spliced panel construction. Assembly and installation of mounting hardware are required.

FAQs

Q: Is this 6x8m rectangular shade sail waterproof or rainproof? A: No. This sail is manufactured from a porous, highly breathable 280gsm polyethylene mesh. The woven fabric allows air and rainwater to filter through freely, which prevents heavy water accumulation on large spans while keeping the area beneath well-ventilated.

Q: Are installation turnbuckles, snap hooks, or posts included in the box? A: No. The package contains 1 x 6m x 8m sand shade sail with pre-attached 8mm stainless steel corner buckles and 38mm webbed perimeter edging. Installation hardware, eye bolts, turnbuckles, and posts must be purchased separately.

Q: What does the 2-piece spliced construction mean for a 6x8m sail? A: Due to manufacturing fabric roll width limits, shade sails wider than standard rolls require two fabric sheets to be joined together. This 6x8m sail features a reinforced center seam (2-piece splice) engineered for structural stability across the entire 48m² surface area.

Q: Should I take down the shade sail during severe storms? A: Yes. While built for standard Australian outdoor conditions, it is strongly advised to detach your shade sail before severe tempests, high winds, or storm events to avoid excessive stress on your fixing structures and corner buckles.
