How to Use Your Sprouting Tray

Select your seeds. Sort through and discard any damaged or poor-quality seeds.

Rinse and soak. Give your seeds a quick rinse, then soak in water for several hours — most varieties need 6–12 hours.

Assemble the tray. Place the perforated planting tray on top of the water-holding base tray.

Spread your seeds. Scatter seeds evenly across the tray, avoiding overlap. If your seeds are small enough to fall through the holes, line the tray with a chemical-free germinating paper towel first.

Water and cover. Mist seeds with a spray bottle, cover lightly with a sheet of germinating paper, then mist again.

Wait and mist. Keep the tray out of direct sunlight and mist 1–2 times daily. Germination typically takes 2–5 days.
