Targeted Rain & Sun Shielding for Corner Patios & Triangular Outdoor Nooks

Protect your angular outdoor spaces from unexpected summer downpours and blazing midday heatwaves. Purpose-built for triangular backyard layouts, this 5x5x5m equilateral sand canopy delivers dual-action weather defense, keeping your corner seating areas, outdoor bar nooks, and entry points dry and comfortable when sudden rain hits.

Important Installation Note: Because this canopy features a waterproof polyurethane coating, it must be installed with a distinct pitch (slope) to allow rainwater to run off smoothly and prevent pooling. This sail acts as a weather shield and is not a structural substitute for a permanent roof.

Engineered from commercial-grade polyester fabric enhanced with a polyurethane (PU) coating, the material blocks up to 98% of harmful ultraviolet rays. Built to handle shifting Australian climatic conditions, the fabric integrates an Americhem UV-resistant additive imported from the USA to extend solar protection performance over time.

Designed with a 2-piece spliced panel construction to span the 5m dimensions, the perimeter is supported by 38mm webbed edging to maintain edge stability. Each corner features a 5mm stainless steel buckle for secure anchoring to structural posts, walls, or pergola beams. Built for dependable, wide-coverage sun protection, this shade sail from Instahut creates a cool, well-ventilated retreat across your outdoor living areas.

Please note: This product features a 2-piece spliced construction. Assembly and mounting hardware installation are required.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Is this 5x5x5m triangle shade sail waterproof, and how should it be installed? A: Yes. The input confirms this sail is made from PU-coated polyester and is highly waterproof. Because it repels rain, it must be installed with a distinct pitch (slope) so water can run off smoothly, and it is not a substitute for a roof.

Q: Are installation turnbuckles, ropes, or mounting posts included in the box? A: No. The package contains 1 x 5m x 5m x 5m sand waterproof triangle shade sail featuring pre-attached 5mm stainless steel corner buckles and 38mm webbed edging. Mounting hardware, turnbuckles, shackles, and support posts must be purchased separately.

Q: What does the 2-piece spliced construction mean for a triangle sail? A: Due to manufacturing roll width limits for coated polyester fabrics, this wide 5m triangle sail is built using two fabric panels joined together with a reinforced center seam designed for structural integrity across the span.

Q: Should I take down this waterproof shade sail during severe storms? A: Yes. While constructed to suit standard Australian outdoor weather conditions, it is strongly advised to detach your shade sail prior to high winds, severe tempests, or heavy storm events to prevent excessive load on your structural anchor points.
