Transform Your Deck or Lawn with Heavy-Duty Outdoor Shade

Beat the intense summer sun and create a cool, comfortable sanctuary in your backyard. Designed for harsh Australian conditions, this large square canopy provides substantial coverage over expansive outdoor areas, letting you enjoy your garden and entertain guests without struggling against relentless heat.

Crafted from dense 280g/m² commercial-grade polyethylene mesh, the fabric features a high-density weave that filters up to 98% of harmful UV rays. Unlike solid covers that trap warm air, the breathable material promotes continuous airflow, allowing hot air to rise and escape while letting cooler breezes pass through to keep your patio, pool deck, or lawn area comfortably ventilated.

Built for long-term performance, the perimeter is reinforced with heavy-duty 38mm webbed edging to maintain tension across the entire span. Each corner is anchored with an 8mm marine-grade stainless steel buckle, providing robust attachment points to anchor posts or structural points. Enhanced with an Americhem UV-resistant additive imported from the USA, the fabric resists degradation and maintains its protective performance over time. Sourced from Instahut for reliable quality, this shade sail provides dependable, wide-coverage protection for your outdoor living areas.

Please note: This 5x5m shade sail features a 2-piece spliced construction. Assembly and mounting hardware installation are required.

FAQs

Q: Is this shade sail waterproof? A: No. This shade sail is made from a highly breathable 280gsm 100% polyethylene mesh. The woven material is designed to let air and water pass through freely, preventing water pooling during rainfall while maximizing cooling airflow.

Q: Are installation turnbuckles, ropes, or mounting posts included? A: The package contains the 5x5m shade sail itself, featuring pre-attached 8mm stainless steel corner buckles and 38mm webbed perimeter edging. Fixing hardware, turnbuckles, eye bolts, and mounting posts are sold separately.

Q: Why does the description mention a 2-piece splice? A: Because of the large 5m width of the raw fabric rolls during manufacturing, wide shade sails require two panels to be joined together. This sail features a reinforced 2-piece spliced seam across the body to achieve its full 5x5m dimension without sacrificing structural stability.

Q: Do I need to remove the shade sail during extreme weather or storms? A: While designed to handle standard Australian weather conditions, it is strongly recommended to take down your shade sail prior to high winds, severe storms, or heavy tempests to prevent excessive strain on the sail, buckles, and your mounting structures.
