Targeted Overhead Cooling for Corner Patios & Compact Yards

Transform awkward backyard angles and exposed patio corners into comfortable, sun-safe zones. Tailored for Australian summer conditions, this 5x5x7.1m right-angle triangle canopy provides focused sun protection over irregular deck layouts, outdoor seating nooks, and corner garden areas without overpowering your space.

Made from porous 280g/m² commercial-grade 100% polyethylene mesh, the fabric filters up to 98% of harmful UV rays while allowing hot air to vent upwards freely. The highly breathable open-weave structure lets natural breezes circulate through, significantly lowering under-shade temperatures and keeping outdoor lounges well ventilated throughout hot afternoons.

Engineered for secure tensioning across three points, the perimeter features 38mm webbed edging to maintain edge stability and prevent sag. Each corner is fitted with an 8mm marine-grade stainless steel buckle for firm anchoring to house fascia, timber posts, or masonry walls. An Americhem UV-resistant additive imported from the USA is integrated into the material to preserve fabric endurance under harsh solar exposure. Built for dependable, wide-coverage sun protection, this shade sail from Instahut creates a cool, well-ventilated retreat across your outdoor living areas.

Please note: Assembly and installation of mounting hardware are required.

FAQs

Q: Is this triangle shade sail waterproof or rainproof? A: No. This sail is crafted from porous, breathable 280gsm polyethylene mesh. The woven material is designed to let rainwater and airflow pass through freely, preventing water pooling on the fabric while providing cool, ventilated sun protection.

Q: Are fixing ropes, turnbuckles, or wall brackets included in the package? A: No. The package includes 1 x 5x5x7.1m triangle shade sail featuring pre-attached 8mm stainless steel corner buckles and 38mm webbed edging. Mounting hardware such as turnbuckles, shackles, and pad eyes must be purchased separately.

Q: How do I calculate the post spacing for a 5x5x7.1m triangle sail? A: Your fixing points should extend beyond the 5m x 5m x 7.1m corner dimensions by approximately 30cm to 50cm per corner. This extra gap provides the necessary clearance to attach tensioning hardware like turnbuckles and snap hooks securely.

Q: Do I need to take the shade sail down during severe storms? A: Yes. While designed for standard Australian outdoor weather conditions, it is strongly advised to detach your shade sail prior to high winds, severe storms, or tempests to protect your fixing points and the sail hardware from excessive strain.
