6. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Why is 30% shade cloth recommended for sun-loving vegetable patches and fruit trees?

A 30% shade block filters out intense solar radiation and excessive midday heat without blocking the light required for fruiting. It transmits up to 70% of natural sunlight, ensuring crops like tomatoes, peppers, citrus, and summer vegetables continue to photosynthesize and set fruit without leaf scorch.

How does the extra-wide 3.66m x 30m roll format benefit larger garden setups?

This 3.66m x 30m bulk roll provides 109.8 square metres of continuous coverage. The 3.66m width spans wide multi-row raised beds, large hoop structures, or greenhouse roofs in a single piece, while the 30m length allows you to cover long orchard rows or cut multiple custom lengths without seams or waste.

Will the edges unravel when I cut this black 30-metre roll into shorter sections?

No. The fabric is manufactured using a specialized mono-tape lock-stitch weave that locks the HDPE threads together. You can cut the 30m roll into tailored lengths using sharp shears without the material unraveling or fraying along the cut line.

Does rainwater and overhead irrigation pass through this 30% black shade cloth mesh?

Yes. The open-weave mono-tape construction is fully water- and air-permeable. Rain misting, overhead sprinkler water, and air currents pass through freely, allowing natural irrigation while preventing heavy water accumulation on support frameworks.
